Traditionally (superstitionally) feeling your ears 'burning' means somebody's talking about you. "Left ear your lover, right ear your mother", according to some versions; "left for love, right for spite" in others.

In practice, today, it's more likely to mean you're cold after cycling into this morning's fearsome head-winds...
