I finally pointed my camera at Ian's train set with appropriate attachments.

This has something to do with ducks.

What's that, then?

Using the twin flash for portraits gives a rather strange effect.

The 100mm lens turns out to make quite a good indoor portrait lens without flash, though the camera's metering system doesn't really seem to believe in it.

Yes. The particular oddity I had in mind was the dual reflections in the eye though.
