The simplest answer is "I don't know". The longer answer is "How *can* I know when I have no data to go on?"

The longest answer is that I'd choose to keep the ability to choose. Have a go at all the various options, see which I liked best.

I am allmost entirely convinced that I am female. I certainly don't currently identify in any way as male at this point.

I detest 'girl' from random strangers, on the other hand I like being called a 'good girl' by people I am sleeping with. I'm not really a 'lady' allthough I'm OK with 'ladies and gentlemen' and also with parents who say such things as 'thank the nice lady' to their small children if I've just (say) held the door open for the child. 'Woman' doesn't seem to be something you call people, but it is probably what I most identify with.

In most circumstances I would prefer 'person'.

There's a certain amount of denial in my answer to the second question. Mostly because of impending birthday.

What about pet things? And of course, pet plants (http://www.warwick.ac.uk/services/publicity/Pict/kir7.jpg)?

Non-living pet things would be pet things, I imagine. I was thinking of [livejournal.com profile] pto452 there really, and [livejournal.com profile] davethedog in the pet animals case. Pet plants with livejournals can pretend to be pet animals and explain in a comment.

To be honest it did just not occur to me that plants bacteria or other living non-animals would have livejournals. Silly me l-)

Equally, to be honest I'm really a human, but I think one should bear in mind livejournals with bacterial, planty, prot (https://www.dreamwidth.org/users/dictyostelium/)ozoan (https://www.dreamwidth.org/users/amoebic_vodka/), (or whatever) slants.

I think it likely that under many definitions I would prefer my species has more than two sexes (though aren't sure what would be good definitions), but although I don't think any of those *do* fit, and *do* think we have more than two sexes, interpreted 'because' literally so didn't check that box :)

I am a woman. I'm fairly certian that, all in all, I'm basically happy this way.

That's not to say that I'm not interested in and don't enjoy playing with gender.

Also, if I had the chance to try being a man, with no pain or permanent side effects, would I give it a go? Hell, yes!
