Have we finished jailing the previous administration yet? Perhaps he's stalling until he can get hold of the righteous sword of truth from its previous not-so-careful owner.

Question is where all the leaks are coming from. I can quite imagine the Government, or Lord Levy himself, orchestrating the leaks purely in order to allow the "prejudicial media coverage" defence.

Frankly, were I the police, I'd start investigating the leaks and the media and setting up still further charges of perverting the course of justice.

Up until very recently most reports I've read have assumed that the leaks were all coming from the police. (Obviously I've no idea myself.)

Allowing "media coverage" as a defence in the Internet era is just going to result in a completely broken criminal justice system. The problem will only get worse when someone connects the CCTV network (one camera for every 14 people) to Youtube.
