# Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds/Abattoir Blues
# Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds/The Lyre Of Orpheus

ISTR these are the two halves of a two-disc album, which might make life (very slightly) easier. Unless, like me, your shelves are just a little too closely spaced for the fancy packaging to fit.

As for the rest, I don't know enough (either of the albums or your tastes) to suggest a ranking -- or did you mean "order" as in "consignment"? *grin*

Muse, The Cure, The Divine Comedy and The Killers spring to mind as things I'd recommend. But I'm not sure how eclectic your taste is ;)

These are all things I want (and only a subset of the CDs LNR left with) - the question is which to buy first...

*grin* I actually made such a list before I moved out, turned it into a separate Amazon wishlist, and then merged that into my main wishlist after I moved.

Mind you I've trimmed the wishlist quite a bit since then and decided I didn't want some of them all that much. So far the only one I've actually gone out and bought is Pulp's This Is Hardcore and Oysterband's Trawler.

I'm interested to see that some of the more obscure ones made your list though.

Radiohead, The Stone Roses, Ladytron, LCD Soundsystem.

Oh, why isn't 13 by Blur on that list? Do you own it or is it missing due to some terrible oversight?

Is this an automatically generated list? I think Nick Cave Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a bonus disc with the Best Of album, might be worth checking.

Nick cave> It is, yes.

13> I'm pretty sure that was one of mine too.

I'm also wondering why there isn't any more Pulp in that list. I'm pretty sure We Love Life and Different Class both moved out when I did, and I'd pick either of those above His n Hers.

And I'm surprised you want one Show of Hands album and not the other.

And you didn't want *any* of the Pixies?

The full list of my stuff is online, although a few of them were bought after I moved out, if anyone else wants to berate him for missing some:

This could get _even more_ expensive

Hmm, I was going on UIDs on the .ogg files, but it looks like those aren't as close to CD ownership as I'd thought. Expect some updates when I've done another pass l-)

That's never going to work, given there was a large batch when they were first oggified when we were just working through with both of us ripping as fast as we could just to get them all done.

Yes, but there was also a lengthy phase where you bought impressive numbers of CDs and ripped them all yourself l-)

The list corresponds to directory structure, so might not be fully aligned with the product. I've got digital copies of all of the above, just not the physical CDs...

First five should be: Blondie, Annie Lennox, Teh Cure - Disintegration, Lou Reed/Velvet Underground (makes personal mental note to buy that one) and Gorillaz.

Of those, the only one I actually do own is Annie Lennox — Diva. Though I keep meaning to buy a few of the others, it would be hypocritical of me to recommend you do when I haven't. (-8

If I was picking five: LCD Soundsystem, Pulp, The Cure singles (I like the albums, but I think they were a much better singles band), Stone Roses, White Stripes. Possibly Radiohead, but I much prefer the Kid A / Amnesiac era.

I think we may have a duplicate of Pulp/Different Class, which would therefore be going cheap. I'll check.

Alphabetical by artist looks the least work. Move "2 Many DJ's" to either the beginning or end, and you're done ;-)

I'd go for OK Computer and bump Pablo Honey below basically everything else in my list, then. (I rate the 'My Iron Lung' EP higher, too.)

No collection is complete without London Calling. The Nick Cave albums are all worth getting, as are the Pixies ones, and I'd buy some Lou Reed and the Cure, though not those albums (you need Transformer and especially Berlin from Uncle Lou, and Faith and Pornography by Fat Robert and his cheerful chums). Do not let rock chicks with dubious taste like [livejournal.com profile] lnr play you Terrorvision :)
