The construction is regular and the pieces come pre-grouped. I'll try putting it together from a less easy start at some later point.

There seem to be several completely blank pieces. If they are identical it doesn't matter but if only superficially similar they will be annoying.

When I was young I had a jigsaw puzzle of the Liberator from Blake's Seven against a starry backdrop. About 50% of the pieces were solid black with a few white dots on them. I only succeeded in assembling it by using the O(n²) approach of testing all possibilities.
