Interestingly, it's button-zip both when putting them on, and when taking them off. (And if the secret neighbour spies who thought me repeatedly sucking a strand of spaghetti in the kitchen was odd, they're going to be completely confused when I start unzipping and rezipping my trousers in the bedroom.)
*these* trousers (with *this* stomach): button, zip, zip immediately unzips, peer at choice of t-shirt to see if it covers the evidence, pull jumper down, shrug, get on with day.
