Old houses and new cameras

uisgebeatha and pjc50 are moving house, and I went along to be a minion. They followed the usual SGO removals approach of hiring a van and getting their friends to help load and unload, and happily were well-organized in advance.

Best quote: “Now, what have we forgotten... Oh, the piano.” OK then, mostly well-organized.

Their housemates are also leaving soon, meaning that a long-established geek house is ending.

This was also the first outing for my second camera, a PowerShot S40 which I bought second-hand from a friend; it's a reasonably featureful compact camera that I can carry around essentially all the time, rather than a bulky SLR with a heavy lens kit.

House! looks great from the outside. What no-one can see, of course, is the peeling paint, damp and creaky floors... :P
