I've decided the three-piece suite has to go; it takes up too much space and we can do better with the futon and a few more sensibly sized chairs. What's the best way to get shot of such things? Does anyone want it? The individual chairs look like this (young lady and penguin not included) and the sofa is similar; it's about ten years old and is in reasonable nick.

That's a good thought. I think friends > charities > random people, so I'll see if anyone reading here wants it first though l-)

If charity I know The Heart Foundation has shops that specialise in large goods - might be worth checking if they have a branch in Cambridge.

As I have often commented, it is a great match for my old sofa. Which Col and Kirsten now own. I'm not sure what on earth they'd do with two nearly matching sofas though.

Actually, knowing Col and Kirsten maybe play strip furnature jenga. You should offer them the sofa, that would be fun.
