I think I can safely say that that's a book you either need to read several times, or not at all :)

(I've read it once, but have been hanging onto it in case I feel inclined to try and comprehend it. I haven't, as yet.)

I quite fancy the Alexei Sayle, given I'm a fan of his comedy and it gets good reviews (including, perplexingly, a posthumous one from Douglas Adams).

I haven't read either of the Sladek, so would be interested in those if no-one else wants them, and it's ages since I read "City", so I'd quite like to re-read that too. But goondice only knows when I'll next be able to collect, so if anyone else wants them or you feel an urgent desire to clear to a charity shop, don't wait on me.

That's fine. I'd been intending to make it for New Year part(y|ies), but that's now clearly not going to happen. I'm still hoping to get somewhere in your vicinity at some point in January, but it's definitely a hope rather than a pln at this point.
