I'd like to read the Vonneguts and could arrange collection from Station Road. Darn, so much for trying to read my existing unread books rather than getting new ones :-)

OK, I'll take them into work and await further instructions (though I suspect I know what they'll be).

Tanya has agreed to be intermediary so I won't have to wait under the clock wearing a red robot carnation or anything. Could you bring them downstairs to her please? She's in from Wednesday. Or might I see you at the COSHH symposium tomorrow?

Iain Sinclair and Dave McKean - Slow Chocolate Autopsy

I think I can safely say that that's a book you either need to read several times, or not at all :)

(I've read it once, but have been hanging onto it in case I feel inclined to try and comprehend it. I haven't, as yet.)

I quite fancy the Alexei Sayle, given I'm a fan of his comedy and it gets good reviews (including, perplexingly, a posthumous one from Douglas Adams).

OK. I don't turn up very often at the pub but I'll try to remember to bring it next time...

Alternatively, I might well be in the same place as you on Saturday evening?

I haven't read either of the Sladek, so would be interested in those if no-one else wants them, and it's ages since I read "City", so I'd quite like to re-read that too. But goondice only knows when I'll next be able to collect, so if anyone else wants them or you feel an urgent desire to clear to a charity shop, don't wait on me.

I'll hang onto them for now but they're likely to get charity-shopped at some point...

That's fine. I'd been intending to make it for New Year part(y|ies), but that's now clearly not going to happen. I'm still hoping to get somewhere in your vicinity at some point in January, but it's definitely a hope rather than a pln at this point.

Ooh, could I have the Jeanette Winterson, please? Collecting from Station Road is probably easiest for me :-)

Let me know when you expect to be there? Around lunchtime is the most reliable but other times should be possible if you don't mind the risk of clashing with a meeting I can't escape. Various kinds of contact details here (http://ewx.livejournal.com/340842.html).

The Sheckleys, please; Simak, Catface; and Hospital Station on the understanding that if I have it I'll route the dupe to CUSFS - if you'd rather give it to someone who definitely doesn't have it, I understand. I am often at the pub.

OK. Do you know if CUSFS are interested in cast-off SF in general?
