It seemed to be slacking off when I got home, so I suspect I was. It was certainly extremely heavy... I'd have driven myself, but I needed to get to the town centre, and it doesn't make much sense to drive there IME.
Was wearing shorts, which meant I avoided the sticky trouser effect.
Well, when the rain was at its heaviest cycling would've been... interesting given how hard the rain was coming down and the amount of rain which fell in such a short time.
I'd agree with the cycling instead of driving into the center of Camb - it doesn't make that much sense if you're on your own. However most of the time if I meet E-J in town for lunch on her days off then we'll drive in as its easier all round and the car parks aren't that busy on a weekday.
I tend to avoid the sticky trouser effect by also wearing shorts; however they are a pair of Rohan convertables (i.e. long trousers which can convert into shorts) which means that I can wear shorts whilst cycling and wear long trousers in the office so that I don't get frozen by the A/C we've got (worse in some of the machine/patch rooms where the temperature can be 18°C with little humidity).
