I think they, or at least their dream-selves, ought to be glad of that more than me! I wonder if the character of a person in my dreams is particularly directly informed by whatever mental model my more conscious self has of them?
They can be, but they can also create worries where none could reasonably be expected to exist. And worrying is the first step on the road to many bad things.
I don't know, but I was appalled at myself when I realised once that the fact someone had been nasty to me *in a dream* had affected the way I behaved to them the next day - I was very cool and a bit upset, exactly as if we had had a huge disagreement, and it took me a while to twig why, and how stupid this was!
The kind of dream spillover I get follows from a dream in which (usually relatively minor) problem of some sort turns out to be solved, only to be confused sometime much later during the day when I realize that it was just a dream.
