I've been writing a GTK+ client for DisOrder, called “Disobedience”:

We thoroughly approve of the vast amounts of Pet Shop Boys. ;)

Is this GTK thing easy to pick up? I see it supports Java, and I have an itch to start poking interfaces properly... :)

I've no idea about the quality of the Java bindings. My principle GUI experience outside GTK+ is Tk, and GTK+ I've found much easier to get good results from. GTK's concepts are fairly uncontroversial for GUI libraries.
