Our tigers assure us that a vegetarian diet is extremely unhealthy, and big lumps of meat are definitely the way to go. Preferably ones that can run away fast enough to provide entertainment as well as food, but not fast enough to actually get away.

I wish to complain about the omission of jaguars from the list of things likely to eat us. There's a couple of cracking jaguars at Chester zoo.

Actually...

The major causes of death in the UK are. . .

Heart disease: 37 per cent.
Cancer: 24 per cent.
Stroke: 12 per cent.
Drink-related illnesses: 8 per cent.
Having a sizeable piece of cheese land on your head: 2 per cent.

See, it's true, it was reported in a reputable newspaper... (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/columnists/columnists.html?in_article_id=559135&in_page_id=1772&in_author_id=362&in_check=N)

I doubt ducks would kill me, but having seen ducks swim up to punts and have a look I think they are the most likely to eat a very small part of me.

A swan bit me once, perhaps confusing me with my lunch. (Don't say it.)

This is going to sound like a joke but…
A swan bit my sister once, on the arm. We could only assume that it thought it was another swan.
