Flashforward 22 (spoilers)
May. 31st, 2010 11:21 pmI liked:
- Bryce’s romantic tale being trumped by the guard’s cynicism.
- Keiko’s mum kicking up a fuss at the airport.
- ”Yeah, I think I’ll keep my shirt on this time.”
- Noh and Campos’ little contretemps at the door.
- Nicole being saved rather than murdered. (Actually, I’d guessed earlier this might be what happened; the only people who might conceivably have had it in for her were Bryce and Keiko, and of course they had other business.)
- Lita making off with Janis. The only thing better would have been if it was Carline.
A few questions:
- Did Wedeck and Vreede see their re-entry into the FBI building in their flashes? They’ve been very quiet about it if so. Wedeck’s always had the air of knowing more than he’s been letting on.
- Was Vogell just guessing that Benford had to be dead? Why was he telling the bodyguard, anyway? Seems a bit of a heavy subject to be just making conversation. I suppose if you’re CIA you’re supposed to be a shady sort by definition.
They were pretty obviously expecting a second series right up to the end; we don’t know what happened to Benford in the end, we don’t know who’s really behind the blackouts, we’ve not seen the Washington side of the Jericho fallout at all. Perhaps it can continue in some other medium; it wouldn’t be the first TV series to live beyond its run this way.

Date: 2010-06-01 09:13 pm (UTC)I thought it was very well done. Which of Wedeck and Vreede was the boss guy again? He said he was 'on the john' in his flashforward but he failed to mention he was carrying a gun and trying to shoot people. You might have thought he would have!
I didn't work out the drowning/saving in advance so that was nice.
I thought more of the main characters would die (but almost certainly not Mark).

Date: 2010-06-02 11:14 am (UTC)I loved that bit. In fact, there was a lot I loved about this episode - I might rewatch tonight and then make my own post, because I'm currently confused about whether the FFs were pre- or post-FF FFs (IYKWIM) :)
